Life now is just great, the weather is a little hot for my liking but I am swimming most days or walking on the beach, even still playing piggie in the middle with my owners.
Today I got a smart new swim life vest to help keep me going when I get tired, but even though I am nearly 14 I still do my 20 mins, the man at the dog therapy pool said not many dogs do the full 20 continious swim without a break minutes even the younger ones!! My owner is very happy with me.
it was Ellys third birthday recently and we had lots of treats wrapped in newspaper so we can undo them, they are kept in the treat bag and we go soooooooooo excited when the bag appears we know we are going to get something yummy to unwrap and eat. Todays prize was a pigs ear very yummy!!
Today I got a kiddies cape towel the sort the children wear on the beach its great (well not sure about the hat bit, might look a bit dorky in that). My owner puts it on me when I leave the beach or the swimming pool and by the time we get home most of the water has soaked into the towel and I am nearly dry, keeps the car alot drier and keeps me warmer in cooler weather.
I am starting to slow down with my swimming now so my owner just brought me a life jacket to help keep me afloat and keep me in the water longer, we wanted to get a ruff wear one as we had heard so many good things about them, but they are available in the usa but we could not find one in the uk so we went with crewsaver the yachting ones and its just great, had it on for the first time today and I loved swimming even more!!!! A great buy and well worth the money!(and not quite so dorky looking as my cape!!!!)
Now we are in October 2006, and I am staying on the mainland for a few days with Elly and my mates Megan and Maddison (hetic time us 4 labradors together), we have just got back in from walking on the downs, everyone has to walk a little slower than normal so I can keep up, but they don't seem to mind, suprisingly I managed to walk on the downs quite well, was a little worried as the ground is uneven, but only had a couple of sudden sit downs!! I never cease to amaze my owner how well I am doing! Aren't I a clever dog!! This is me in October 2006.
